Anthem films, the kind of high-concept brand campaigns luxury houses run to sell a feeling before they sell a product, are among the most expensive ads in the industry. They typically demand multiple full locations or soundstage builds, greenscreen and CGI compositing, choreographed extras, pyrotechnics, and specialist VFX teams. We wanted to know exactly how far that gap really was, so we built “Still,” a watch campaign that moves through seven distinct cinematic worlds in under a minute.
What’s in the film
The story moves from a woman walking still through a raging desert sandstorm, to a rain-soaked city crossing at night lit by umbrellas and neon, to a candlelit ballroom mid-dance with a champagne glass caught in the air, to a city street exploding with confetti and light, to a full pyrotechnic explosion she walks through unshaken, to a silent arctic field beneath a flock of birds, closing on a single, still beauty shot before the product reveal: “Time, without noise.”
What this would cost, built the traditional way
A campaign at this scale, this many distinct environments, this level of atmospheric and practical effects work, would realistically require a mix of soundstage builds, greenscreen compositing, CGI environment extension, pyrotechnics and stunt coordination, large background casts, and a full VFX pipeline. For a comparable US production, that’s not a five-figure job, it’s the kind of budget that runs well into seven figures once you account for crew, locations, effects, and post.
The result
Every one of those seven worlds, the storm, the rain, the ballroom, the explosion, the arctic silence, was designed, generated, and finished by us, without a single soundstage, location booking, pyrotechnics team, or VFX house. What would traditionally cost a production company millions, we built for a fraction most brands could actually afford, proof that cinematic scale and creative ambition no longer have to be gated by budget.
